Everyone experiences anxiety and worry to some extent. However, if this anxiety and worry becomes extreme and persistent, there is help available to provide you with techniques to better manage your anxiety.
As with other life challenges, it can be helpful to get support from others who are going through something similar. Participants in our anxiety support groups have an opportunity to connect with others. They learn new coping strategies; realize that they are not alone in their struggles; and gain new perspectives. It often helps to be able to speak to others who are more objective, in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
Our counsellors are experienced in facilitating groups and in anxiety management strategies. They are present during the groups to guide and facilitate discussion, and to ensure group safety and confidentiality.
